From Ghirra and Wasko  6/09:      "Tala"
It's been a while, 2 years now, since I sent you anything on (formerly) Spot. So you know, her official name is Sequoyah's Pantala Naga Pampa and we call her Tala. I've attached some pictures for you.

A little update on her. She's a great dog, we love her. Great with our two babies (2 year-old girl & 6-month old boy), unless you count excessive kissing as a problem. She is clearly my dog, wants to be with me and go everywhere with me. Will not stop chasing a frisbee, no matter how hot or how tired she is.

I was hoping she'd be her parent's average size (~80 lbs), but she's small like her mom; just over 60 lbs right now. Very thin despite eating like a horse twice a day. So high energy she's burning it all off.

I started doing Shutzhund training with her this year. Passable at off-lead obedience. Excellent at tracking (navigating it), but really struggling with downing at the articles. Just beginning send away and force retrieve. This coming year we'll clean up the obedience, tracking and send aways and build the retrieve and protection. I hope to try and title her at level 1 by the end of next year, we'll see. Biggest hurdle is me, not her.

Anyway, wanted to give you an update on her. Really pleased we were able to get her from you.
Take care,
O
